BIOGRAPHY


Louise Morgan is an emerging artist based in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, QLD.

Between 2010-2017 she undertook study at the National Art School in Sydney, graduating with a Master of Fine Art (Research) in 2018.


Her contemporary drawing practice engages in experimental drawing and installation with a core focus on ecology. Her works seek to address the cultural and philosophical issues that determine humankinds influence on the planet, its environments and inhabitants. Recent works have focused on meteorological phenomena, extinctions and mapping human manipulation of the Earth.


Louise is a MFA Research graduate (2018) from the National Art School and has previously been awarded the Mark Henry Cain Memorial Scholarship (2015) which saw her undertake residency in the UK at the Glasgow School of Arts. She was selected for the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts’ ‘Hatched’ exhibition in 2015. In 2018 she presented her first solo exhibition 'TERRAFORMED' at 220 Creative Space Gallery in Sydney and has been exhibiting works in Sydney and other states since 2012.
