Riverstone Studies | 2016-2018

graphite & riverwater on paper, dimensions variable

A series of graphite and water experiments developed on residency* in Glasgow 2016 - 'Riverstone studies'. The Riverstone studies came out of observing and interacting with a post-glacial landscape, utilizing the river (its water, movement, bank and stones) to make the works.

The Riverstone studies continued back in Australia 2017 with 'Rain' and 'Melt' series, contributing to a dialogue around the cultural importance of carbon and water during a period of changing climate and precarious environmental and societal sustainability.
